The drawing is entirely created oout of spikes, blank and filled. They all generate from a center point (the mouth) and burst outwards. The spikes are all quadelateral that elongate as they go outwards.
The concept of this drawing is "release". The figure is myself, and I am exploding my own thoughts out to the world, shattering my image as I do that. Basically, it shows the human nature of wanting to break loose and free from everything, being able to express whatever you want.
By the way, The black beneath the face is NOT a goatee, it's a black shirt (it looks like that because of a jacket I was wearing in the referenced picture. you can see the outline of it)
